    Run for the Animals 3K Has Grown From Humble Start

    Tuesday, May 22nd, 2012

    The Run for the Animals 3K is a unique race, not just because of its cause, but because of its roots.

    #13;

    The race will be held at Monmouth Battlefield Park in Manalapan on June 16 and will the benefit the Monmouth County SCPA in Eatontown. Owners and their dogs are invited to participate in the fourth annual race, which also includes a 40-yard Doggie Dash for canines.

    #13;

    The idea behind the Run for the Animals race came from Robert Murphy, 16, who attends Freehold Township High School and started the race four years ago.

    #13;

    After I saw commercials on TV (for national animal welfare organizations) I wanted to help all the abused and neglected animals, but I wanted to do something big, Murphy said in a release. I decided to combine this with my passion for running, and thats how the event started.”

    #13;

    Murphy is the largest contributor to the Monmouth County SPCA under the age of 18 and that the 2011 race raised $7,000.

    #13;

    Race organizers say awareness about the race has helped participation increased every year. Over 400 people and 200 dogs participated for last years race.

    #13;

    We are excited to partner with the Run for the Animals again this year, Monmouth County SPCA Director of Development Meghan Rehbein said. Robby Murphy and his family have helped build this event into a major fundraiser for us.

    #13;

    Registration for the race is currently underway and entrants who sign-up by May 27qualify for the $10 entrance fee and will qualify for a free race T-shirt.

    #13;

    The Doggie Dash starts at 10 am and all dogs must be registered for the dash with a $1 fee. Dogs must must be on a leash and accompanied by their owner at all times.

    #13;

    While dogs need to be signed up for the dash they can run in the 3K for free with owners when the race starts at 10:15 am

    Social media agency Maximize Social Media LLC announced its social media marketing program for dentists today. The agency will provide full social media management for dentists. The program’s main focus is creating a Facebook business page and managing pay per click advertising to attract new dental clients.

    Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) April 28, 2012

    Social media agency Maximize Social Media LLC announced its new social media program for dentists today, giving support to dental practices in need of an affordable solution for social media. Maximize will offer full management of Facebook for dentists interested in growing their business, including contest applications and pay per click advertising.

    “Many dentists grow their practice by client word of mouth and referrals. Social media is word of mouth amplified. With a well managed social media campaign dentists are able to tap into their existing clientele’s network of friends to let those friends know about their dental practice,” said Craig Collins, Senior Vice President of Maximize Social Media LLC.

    In addition to handling the design and layout of the Facebook Timeline for the dental practice, Maximize also provides applications for contests and referrals. “A few of our dental practices are offering a chance to win free teeth whitening. Something so simple can also emphasize the other services offered by dentists that existing clients are not typically aware of,” Collins said. “Once you create a fun contest clients who enter will notify their friends they are participating and the dental practice can benefit from the viral growth of social media.”

    Maximize also manages Facebook pay per click advertising on behalf of the dental practice. “We will design over a dozen ads and then utilize enterprise class software to fully optimize the advertisement that gets the best click thru rate and therefore the lowest cost per click,” said Collins.

    Dentists interested in social media management are invited to contact Maximize Social Media for a no obligation consultation.

    Here’s what the Loop is reading this morning:

    Belt tightening — The director of the Office of Management and Budget is laying down the law (well, policy) on agency spending after the GSA-conference scandal. Our Federal Diary colleague Joe Davidson has the details of the new rules, including a 30 percent cut in costs.

    Pardon the interruption — An investigation by Dafna Linzer, courtesy of ProPublica, sheds more light on the below-the-radar Office of the Pardon Attorney and tells the story of a man whose pardon was rejected.

    A fond adieu — The Reliable Source recalls the First Ladyship of France’s Carla Bruni. Now that her husband, Nicolas Sarkozy, lost his re-election bid, the supermodel/chanteuse might go back to music, they report.
