While the cities are wrangling up the displaced animals, they are in desperate need of rescues and fosters to take care of the animals until the owners are found/matched up. If you have read this before, there is now an UPDATE under the Linens for Animals section(under the silly cars drawing). DRIVERS are urgently needed for a linens transport to help the animals (details below) starting on Friday, May 24.
In addition, they need tons of funds to help with fixing wounds, feeding and supplies. Instead of trying to get in your car and driving up a load of food, it is being requested, that caring citizens donate funds not goods, so that the organizations can get exactly what they need as they need it.
All gifts countit doesnt matter how small. If a million people each gave a dollar, what an impact youd have. The problem is, that so may people know that there are needs but dont do anything. I cant explain why, I just know that is what happens. So, if you can give a little more to make up for all of those who dont, youll make a big difference.
These are also great resources to FIND a lost animal, too, so be sure to share this info.
Animals who were lucky enough to survive are following any one they can findjust to happily make contact with loving humans. Lets help them surviveand get back to their families, even if they cant get back to their homes, yet. Home is where the heart is though, isnt it? Thanks for caring. Really truly caring.

The most effective way to help at this time is through donations. Please do not drive to Oklahoma to volunteer without first going through responding organizations

UPDATE: LFA has made contact with the OK City and Monroe, OK authorities and a giant order is heading to the Tornado Zone!!
DRIVERS for a FRIDAY (May 24) TRANSPORT are NEEDED.
There are two pick-up locations in the Dallas area and then a drive north to bring them to two drop-off spots where the displaced animals are being kept until they can be reunited with their owners.
This would be an EXCELLENT chance to do goodwhether you live in Houston or Dallas or even in OKanywhere that you can drive to the Dallas area. Follow a friendand have a late lunch on the way back after the drop-offor join a caravan and make new friendsboth human and animal! (Bring treats with you, too!) Hear the stories up close and personal about what happenedand if you have some room in your house/car on the way home, maybe you can foster/care for some animals.
Linens will need to be bagged at the donating facility and then driven up to both OK City and Monroe, OK. You can do both or just a part of this transportbag and not drive, drive and not bag or do it allmany hands and cars/SUVs/Trucks are needed. The need, as youve all seen, is great.
Please email Lori ASAP TODAY: Lori@linensforanimals.org if you can help in ANY way.
Koda is the Linens for Animals cutie-pie mascot. He wants all animals to be safe and sound
